It's Hard to Be Crabby in Krabi

"Beautiful things don't ask for attention."

The last few days have been AMAZING. Our life doesn't feel real.

Friday morning we got up at 4:30 AM to be on a plane at 7:30 AM to go to Krabi, Thailand!

The view of Krabi from the plane!
Haley, Rayna and I were more excited than Julia.

Our first stop in the beautiful Krabi was the Emerald pool!

The jungle trail to the blue pool!
 The blue pool! So beautiful!

 This is a Rambutan fruit.
Tastes kind of like a pear.

Mangostine is kind of sweet and sour.

After we visited the emerald pool and the blue pool we went to the hot spring, which was so refreshing. The natural pools it formed were perfect for sitting in. The "natural hot tub" really was the highlight of the day. After that, we went to check into our first hotel!

Jamie, Becca, Lily and Haley in the lobby while Pat and Hui check us in.
Yes, this jungle is really our hotel.
The pool, on the roof of the lobby!
The courtyard of the hotel.

Dinner was at a very cool restaurant and the food was delicious. Everything is so "outside" here, and it's been the perfect weather for it. The shrimp cakes were the best!

Becca and Haley!

After dinner we walked back to the hotel through the night market that runs along the beach. We were able to get Chang pants, swimsuit cover ups and all the other touristy trinkets we don't see much of in Salaya.

The next day in Krabi was an adventure. Island hopping!

Matching dresses! Me, Becca and Julia have the same taste.
Sitting in the front of the boat may be a bumpy ride, but it's the most fun!

Island #1 had the best beach!
Snorkeled at island #2. There were so many beautiful fish of different colors, and huge clams and sea urchins.
Island #3 had a huge sandbar that we walked across to get to yet another island.

 Me and Haley!
We road around on a speed boat, but these are the traditional boats Thais would use for fishing and transportation to the islands.
When I try to just take a picture of my coconut milk shake Hui makes me pose with my milkshake.
Our view of the beach at lunch time!
Wild monkeys on our way walk to the secret (but not really so secret beach, you have to walk through some caves to get there though!)
 (the secret beach)

Fresh watermelon for the boat ride back to the mainland!

After we got back to the bay and took our van back to the hotel, we relaxed at the pool (did I mention it's on the ROOF?) then had dinner at the hotel. We were all so tired, it was easy to fall asleep!

  1. Not going to lie, I was nervous about Thai food. Everything you post looks do good though! I'm glad you like it. Also, these beaches are amazing. How are we supposed to go back to the freezing pacific after the Indian (Gulf of Thialand?) and Atlantic Oceans.

  2. I was thinking the same thing. Pacific Ocean is too cold!
